Cutthroat summer shooting games pay off for Tar Heels' guards

The routine went like this. North Carolina assistant Hubert Davis would text guards Marcus Paige, Nate Britt, Joel Berry, Justin Jackson and Theo Pinson a challenge. Take 100 spot-up 3-pointers, 20 each from your pick of five spots. The player with the most buckets has bragging rights. Among these guys, those bragging rights matter. And it didn’t always stop there.
