Tar Heels land Rashad Mason

Nashville, Tenn., wide receiver Rashad Mason committed to North Carolina on Sunday evening, choosing the Tar Heels over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Clemson, Michigan and Kentucky. Mason, a 6-foot-5. 225-pounder ranked No. 97 on the Press-Register's Super Southeast 120, caught 26 passes for 610 yards and 13 touchdowns after missing his junior season because of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
