Gene Chizik reportedly among ECU head coaching candidates

ECU director of athletics Jeff Compher was not on campus Wednesday afternoon, and was believed to be in Raleigh in pursuit of the University's next head football coach. Some sources continued to suggest former Auburn head coach and current UNC defensive coordinator Gene Chizik was tops on ECU's list, though other sources expressed doubt in Chizik's interest in the Pirates.
