Between Carolina’s loss to Clemson in the ACC title game and its 49-38 loss to Baylor in the Russell Athletic Bowl, the Tar Heels found opponents against whom they match up reasonably well at the skill positions and in the backfield but along the front lines remain a combination of too young, too lacking in numbers, too lacking in size and too short on twitch.
