Tar Heels Basketball: 2015 Year in Review

Legendary UNC coach Dean Smith passed away on February 7, 2015. Smith coached the Tar Heels from 1961 to 1997. His philosophy continues to permeate through the current. Smith has been credited with inventing “Four Corners” and developing the “tired signal (when a player desires to come out the game).” Smith was a Civil Rights’ activist.
