Chazz Surratt earns national honors

MaxPreps announced Thursday it has named East Lincoln quarterback Chazz Surratt its national small schools player of the year, giving the future Tar Heel a full circle of local-, state- and national-level awards. Surratt has already been named the Gatorade N.C. Football Player of the Year, and was voted the state’s offensive player of the year by the Associated Press.
