Curtis Campbell, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound wide receiver and defensive back, picked the Tar Heels after also receiving an offer from Connecticut. The senior also drew interest from Tennessee, South Carolina and Marshall. “I think (North Carolina) is getting a solid young man who has ultimate potential,” Grassfield coach Martin Asprey said. “He’s very big and has speed as well.”
