Safety Javontay Smith parts ways with UNC

2016 safety Javontay Smith (Columbus, Ga./Carver) has parted ways from North Carolina, per a source, as first-reported by 247Sports.com. Smith originally verbally committed to North Carolina in January of 2015. Smith officially visited Chapel Hill this weekend. He's one of the top defensive backs in Georgia in the 2016 recruiting class. (Carolina Blue)
