Defensive Back Patrice Rene Commits to UNC

In a true chain reaction, Patrice Rene became a Tar Heel commitment. Rene officially visited UNC over the weekend, Charlton Warren visited Rene’s parents in Ottawa on Monday, Rene withdrew his Rutgers commitment on Tuesday morning, and now he has pledged to the Tar Heels. Rene, a 6-foot-1, 193-pound cornerback from Alexandria (Va.) Episcopal, foreshadowed the switch from Rutgers to UNC.
