Second-half Notre Dame surge hands North Carolina second straight loss

This one might have looked a little familiar to North Carolina fans. Notre Dame utilized a strong second half to take down the No. 2 Tar Heels before a sold-out Purcell Pavilion crowd that was bursting at the seams. The Fighting Irish’s 80-76 win over the visiting Tar Heels was reminiscent of their meeting 11 months ago in the ACC tournament title game.
