Tar Heels shoot past Pittsburgh

No. 9 North Carolina’s most efficient performance of the season — a strange rebounding statistic aside — gave the Tar Heels a comfortable 85-64 romp past visiting Pittsburgh on Sunday at the Smith Center. UNC racked up 26 assists on 32 baskets as part of a season-high 59.3-percent shooting from the field as the Tar Heels stayed atop the ACC standings. (Burlington Times News)
