Troubled cornerback Mike Hughes no longer on UNC football team

Cornerback Mike Hughes is no longer a member of the UNC football team. Although athletic department spokesman Kevin Best said that the rising sophomore from New Bern has left the program for personal reasons, he did not rule out a potential return at some point. Hughes was a major contributor for the Tar Heels’ Coastal Division championship team as a freshman. (Wilmington Star News)
