Tar Heels, Wolfpack make football staff decisions

Three assistants on John Bunting's North Carolina football coaching staff will be kept by Coach Butch Davis, but a fourth will not be retained. Davis has decided to keep Kenny Browning, Tommy Thigpen and Jeff Connors, UNC's conditioning coach. Marvin Sanders, the defensive coordinator for Bunting, was released. UNC still has one staff position to fill. Davis has hired six assistants from outside the program.
