Three assistants on John Bunting's North Carolina football coaching staff will be kept by Coach Butch Davis, but a fourth will not be retained. Davis has decided to keep Kenny Browning, Tommy Thigpen and Jeff Connors, UNC's conditioning coach. Marvin Sanders, the defensive coordinator for Bunting, was released.
