The Eagles shot 60.0% from the field in the first half and out-rebounded UNC 21-14. But the bracket-busting dream was not to be. UNC started the second half with a fury. At one point the Tar Heels were up 23 in the second period and finished the game comfortably. After the game, the Tar Heels players said the locker room at halftime was very serious.
