John Shoop To Be Named Offensive Coordinator

John Shoop has been hired as North Carolina's offensive coordinator, sources close to the situation confirmed on Thursday. Shoop is currently in Chapel Hill and an announcement from the University is expected in the coming days. Despite only being 37 years old, Shoop has nearly a decade of NFL experience, as a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator, both roles he'll have on North Carolina's staff.
