No. 2 North Carolina won five singles matches in straight sets to earn a 6-1 victory over NC State on Wednesday outside Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. The doubles point went down to the wire with Carolina’s top-ranked duo of Hayley Carter of Whitney Kay pulling out the opening point with a 7-6 (5) victory over Martina Frantova and Tayla Stenta.
