On-deck: South Carolina vs. North Carolina

South Carolina is set to renew its rivalry with border rival North Carolina tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPNU. It’s the first time the two teams have met since the 2013 Super Regional round that saw the Gamecocks drop a pair of one-run decisions to end head coach Chad Holbrook’s first season at the helm. In fact, the last two times the two teams have played were in Chapel Hill Supers with the Tar Heels winning. (The Big Spur)
