At first glance, North Carolina's Hayley Carter doesn’t come across as being fierce or intense. But on the tennis court, that’s when things change. “Ultimately it’s just that I play every single point. I don’t check out of points," Carter said. "I give everything I have every single point, and I try not to give my opponents any free points. I think that puts a lot of pressure on them”
