Five Tar Heels earned All-Tournament honors in addition to their ACC Women's Lacrosse championship rings. One was named Most Valuable Player: Marie McCool, who scored six goals and registered two assists in the three tournament games, and whose teammates rallied around her when she served a non-releasable penalty at the most crucial of times.
