Astros’ Colin Moran records first MLB hit

Houston Astros rookie Colin Moran finally recorded his first career hit. Playing in his fifth game since being called up from Triple-A Fresno, Moran took a Matt Shoemaker pitch to center field in the fifth inning of Houston’s matchup with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The former sixth-overall pick of the 2013 draft had gone 0-for-his-first-13 in the majors.
