The Tar Heel basketball program is rooted in tradition, which explains why so many Tar Heel fans enjoy UNC's Blue Argyle uniforms the best, even though the new black uniforms did make a splash during the UCLA game this past December. The blue, which designer Alexander Julian claims is the exact color of the sky in Chapel Hill at noon, is Pantone 542. (Carolina Blue)
