Gene Chizik and UNC proving to be an excellent match

The Tar Heels’ defensive staff underwent a complete overhaul after the 2014 campaign, and Gene Chizik — taking on his first gig since getting fired by Auburn in 2012 — was brought on as the new defensive coordinator. To this point, the hire has proved to be a complete success. There was a night-and-day difference between UNC’s 2014 and 2015 defenses.
