6. Phil Ford led the Tar Heels to an ACC Championship in 1975 and became the first freshman in league history to win MVP of the ACC Tournament. He earned a gold medal in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal as a sophomore. As a senior, Ford won the Wooden Award and was the second overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft.
