Source: Hornets, Marvin Williams strike four-year, $54.5M deal

Free-agent forward Marvin Williams has agreed to a four-year, $54.5 million deal to stay with the Charlotte Hornets, league sources told The Vertical. The deal includes a player option on the fourth year, a league source said. Williams had offers in the $15 million-a-year range to leave the Hornets, but his comfort with the franchise led him to stay for less money.
