Although it’s quite early with the class, the clear cut No. 1 prospect in 2019 is Montverde (Fla.) Academy wing R.J. Barrett. Barrett, a native of Canada, was an important part of Montverde’s team as a freshman, won the MVP at the Jordan Brand Classic in April and was arguably the top prospect at the FIBA u17 World Championships this past week.
