Elijah Hood Named Doak Walker Award Candidate


UNC junior tailback is one of the preseason candidates for the 2016 Doak Walker Award, announced Thursday by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top college running back. A native of Charlotte, N.C., Hood is a punishing runner who ranked among the best in UNC history as a sophomore in 2015.
