Panthers sign TE Eric Wallace, former basketball and rugby player

Eric Wallace, a former college basketball and Australian football player who last played the NFL version of football at the age of 14, has signed with the Carolina Panthers. Wallace, a North Carolina native, signed a three-year deal, the standard contract for an undrafted rookie. "I grew up a Carolina fan," Wallace said. "Today, the dream came true."
