If there were any lingering doubt that violence in community-police relations is a serious, transcendent problem, Michael Jordan removed it on Monday. Jordan, famously allergic to public social stands, is donating $1 million apiece to the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s newly established Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
