U.S. Women's Soccer Opens With 2-0 Olympic Win Over New Zealand

The U.S. Women's National Team defeated New Zealand 2-0 to get off to a strong start in Group G play at Mineirão Stadium in its first match of the 2016 Olympic Games. UNC alumna Tobin Heath, '10, assisted on the game-winning goal in the 10th minute of play. Heath was one of three former Tar Heels in the starting lineup for the Red, White and Blue.
