Former UNC President, Others Criticize High Coaching Salaries
Posted Dec 5, 2006
When former NFL coach Butch Davis was introduced as the new head football coach at the University of North Carolina earlier this week, his $1.7 million salary raised eyebrows, including those of former UNC president Bill Friday. He was one of dozens of people who attended a lecture on the relationship between athletics and academics.
