James Davis took his young son outside the Berkeley Apartments in Gaffney, South Carolina, and made it clear: You want to learn to catch? OK, I’m going to throw the ball toward your face. Quinshad Davis was 4 years old at the time. But his dad's logic made sense. It was the best way to teach him fast. So when you now look at Davis’ hands, it all starts there.
