Tim Beckman steps down as UNC assistant

One day after accepting a role as a volunteer assistant for the UNC football program, former Illinois head coach Tim Beckman is stepping down saying, "I do not wish to be a further distraction. I appreciate the opportunity Coach (Larry) Fedora gave me to stay connected to the sport and be around one of the best staffs in the country." (WRAL Sports Fan)
