ECU dismisses projected DL starter Darius Commissiong for animal cruelty

East Carolina's defensive front took a major hit Friday when a projected starter was dismissed from the team after being arrested on a felony charge of animal cruelty. Junior Darius Commissiong, 21, was identified by witnesses as leaving a Greenville apartment following a disturbance early Friday morning. Greenville police responded and when allowed inside discovered a dog dead from numerous injuries.
