Heels to play Irish for women's NCAA title


It was better late than never for North Carolina, as it scored twice in the final six minutes to defeat UCLA 2-0 last night in a NCAA Women's College Cup semifinal at SAS Stadium. and got the goals and had two assists as the Tar Heels kept alive their dream of a 18th NCAA soccer title. North Carolina (26-1-0) advances to Sunday's championship, its first in three years, and will play Notre Dame (25-0-1), a 2-1 winner over Florida State (18-4-4). (Winston-Salem Journal)
