Butch Davis' assistants may be pricey
Posted Dec 1, 2006
New North Carolina football coach Butch Davis will average a $1.86 million paycheck over the next seven years, even without bonuses. But the combined salary of his assistant coaching staff could top that. Athletics director Dick Baddour said Davis' yet-to-be-named assistants could make a combined $300,000 to $400,000 more per year than former coach John Bunting's staff. Last season, that nine-man group made about $1.66 million.
