North Carolina pulls away from Illinois for 48-23 victory

North Carolina reasserted itself after last week's disappointing start to the season with a loss to Georgia. Tar Heels quarterback Mitch Trubisky held the quarterback edge at Memorial Stadium as he connected on big plays and Illinois quarterback Wes Lunt looked unusually pedestrian and conservative with few deep passes.
