From lightweight to linebacker: Cole Holcomb's UNC journey

Cole Holcomb can't help but crack a smile when asked about how he wound up playing football for the Tar Heels. "I was going to go to Duke,'' Holcomb said, referring to UNC's rival just eight miles away. Luckily for UNC, that plan didn't work out for Holcomb, who two years after joining the football team as a walk-on has earned a scholarship and starting job at linebacker. (Fayetteville Observer)
