Balmer's extra-point block sparks Tar Heels past Blue Devils 45-44

North Carolina sent Coach John Bunting out a winner in his last game yesterday, but only because of Kentwan Balmer's arms and Brandon Tate's legs. The Tar Heels edged the Blue Devils 45-44 in Bunting's finale by surviving a horrible mistake by quarterback Joe Dailey that led to a breath-sapping finish in front of 24,478 at Wallace Wade Stadium.
