Andre Smith has gone from playing the hits as a youngster to making them for North Carolina’s football team. The sophomore middle linebacker from Jacksonville, Florida, enters Saturday’s key Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division game at Miami as UNC’s third-leading tackler with 43 and is tied for second in tackles for loss with 3.0.
