North Carolina gave Coach John Bunting a going-away present in his final game at Kenan Stadium yesterday, tossing aside a season of troubles to defeat N.C. State 23-9 and extend its dominance in the rivalry. North Carolina forced four turnovers, got three field goals from Connor Barth and took advantage when a gamble by Coach Chuck Amato of N.C. State backfired.
