Rudy Gay Told George Karl 'Welcome to Basketball Hell' When Coach Joined Kings
Posted Oct 23, 2016
The Sacramento Kings have been a sinking ship for years, finishing under .500 in each of the last 10 seasons, something that Rudy Gay seemed to warn former head coach George Karl about in February 2015. Per ESPN's Marc Stein, Karl states in his upcoming book, titled Furious George, that upon his first meeting with Gay, the veteran forward greeted him by saying, "Welcome to basketball hell."
