P.J. Hairston Waived by Houston Rockets

P.J. Hairston was waived Saturday by the Rockets, Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reports. The former first-round pick was forced to settle for a partially-guaranteed deal from the Rockets in training camp after shooting a woeful 34.3 percent from the floor through his first two seasons, but did little to rebuild his stock in the preseason.
