Austin Nichols has been suspended for Virginia’s two exhibition games and their regular season opener for a violation of team rules, the program announced on Friday. Nichols, a transfer from Memphis that sat out last season, was rated as the No. 12 player in the country in NBCSports’ top 100 player rankings. He was also named a second-team preseason All-American.
