Former App State player, UNC coach Everett Withers bringing Texas State to Boone


Texas State coach is attempting to rebuild a program that’s 2-5 heading into a weekend visit to ASU. Withers is in his 29th year of coaching, and three of them occurred alongside . After Brown left UNC to coach Texas in 1998, he hired Withers as a defensive backs coach. Fifteen years earlier, Withers had been one of Brown’s defensive backs. (Winston-Salem Journal)
