There's not many other ways to say it: Thursday's 28-27 loss to Duke was a crippling one in so many different ways for Carolina. It effectively hands the Coastal Division to Virginia Tech. It's an in-state loss for a program that has placed an emphasis on beating North Carolina-based foes. It snuffs out any hope of sneaking into an upgraded bowl. (GoHeels.com)
