Calm and consistent: Joel Berry embraces role as UNC's unquestioned leader

Vocal leadership is foreign to Joel Berry, but the Tar Heels need it. After their final practice before scrimmaging against Memphis, Roy Williams begged for more effort from his team. After the meeting, Assistant Coach Steve Robinson pulled Berry aside and told him he needed to be a leader — as Marcus Paige had been. “I feel in some way that I have to be like him,” Berry said.
