UNC women's basketball shows improvement in Junkanoo Jam

The UNC women’s basketball team (5-1) dropped its first game of the season on Thanksgiving Day with an 83-55 loss to South Florida in Bimini, Bahamas. But for UNC, the loss was a call to action. “We knew that we had to bounce back,” junior guard Jamie Cherry said. “We came out with more energy.” That energy showed, as UNC defeated Minnesota the next day.
