QB Malik Zaire granted release from Notre Dame, with conditions

Notre Dame has granted quarterback Malik Zaire his release from the school, blocking him from all but one school on the Fighting Irish's 2017 schedule. Zaire told ESPN he cannot transfer to teams on Notre Dame's upcoming schedule, with the exception of North Carolina. Zaire is on track to graduate in December and will be eligible immediately next season.
