Posted Nov 6, 2006
North Carolina is expected to soon offer Butch Davis its soon-to-be vacant football job, CBS SportsLine.com has learned. The offer would come as word in the industry is circulating that Davis has been busy assembling a staff. If he agrees to coach the Tar Heels, Davis could get a contract worth $2.5 million-$3 million per year. Talks are expected to progress Sunday night or Monday.
