North Carolina nearly fails early test vs. Davidson

North Carolina came up with a series of massive stops to halt a late Davidson run, turning the Smith Center momentarily deafening and setting up an 83-74 win. While the brief buzz was welcome, the reasons for it were nothing to be excited about. Talking to reporters afterward, Roy Williams didn’t mask the fact that the Tar Heels’ effort was unacceptable.
